Fried Okra

Ingredients:

  • Fresh okra
  • Flour or cornmeal
  • Salt and pepper
  • Oil for frying

Directions:

  1. Wash and slice the okra into rounds
  2. In a bowl, mix flour or cornmeal with salt and pepper
  3. Coat the okra slices in the flour mixture
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat
  5. Fry the okra in the batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side
  6. Drain on paper towels and season with additional salt if desired
