Fried Okra
Ingredients:
- Fresh okra
- Flour or cornmeal
- Salt and pepper
- Oil for frying
Directions:
- Wash and slice the okra into rounds
- In a bowl, mix flour or cornmeal with salt and pepper
- Coat the okra slices in the flour mixture
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat
- Fry the okra in the batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side
- Drain on paper towels and season with additional salt if desired
