Kale Chips
Ingredients:
- Kale
- Olive oil
- Salt
Optional seasoning: garlic salt, nutritional yeast, garlic powder etc.
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Prepare the Kale: Wash the kale leaves thoroughly and dry them well. You can use a salad spinner or pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- Remove Stems: Remove the tough stems from the kale leaves and tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
- Toss with Olive Oil: Place the kale leaves in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Use your hands to toss the leaves and ensure they are evenly coated with oil.
- Season the Kale: Sprinkle salt over the kale leaves and toss again to distribute evenly. Add any additional seasonings you like, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or smoked paprika.
- Arrange on Baking Sheets: Spread the kale leaves out in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Avoid overcrowding the leaves to allow them to crisp up evenly.
- Bake the Kale: Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the kale leaves are crisp. Keep an eye on them towards the end of the cooking time to prevent burning.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the kale chips from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
- Enjoy!
