Kale Chips

Kale Chips

Ingredients:

  • Kale
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Optional seasoning: garlic salt, nutritional yeast, garlic powder etc.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Prepare the Kale: Wash the kale leaves thoroughly and dry them well. You can use a salad spinner or pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
  3. Remove Stems: Remove the tough stems from the kale leaves and tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Toss with Olive Oil: Place the kale leaves in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Use your hands to toss the leaves and ensure they are evenly coated with oil.
  5. Season the Kale: Sprinkle salt over the kale leaves and toss again to distribute evenly. Add any additional seasonings you like, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or smoked paprika.
  6. Arrange on Baking Sheets: Spread the kale leaves out in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Avoid overcrowding the leaves to allow them to crisp up evenly.
  7. Bake the Kale: Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the kale leaves are crisp. Keep an eye on them towards the end of the cooking time to prevent burning.
  8. Cool and Serve: Remove the kale chips from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
  9. Enjoy!
