Green Onion Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of green onions (about 6-8 green onions)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 clove garlic - minced (optional)
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl - combine the chopped green onions, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and vegetable oil
  2. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger if using
  3. Stir in the sugar until it dissolves
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste
  5. If you'd like it spicy, add a pinch of red pepper flakes

Serving Tips:

  • Use the green onion sauce as a condiment or dressing
  • Great for a dipping sauce for dumplings, spring rolls or grilled meats
  • Drizzle it over steamed vegetables, rice or noodles
  • Use it as a marinade for meats or tofu
