Green Onion Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of green onions (about 6-8 green onions)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil or olive oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 clove garlic - minced (optional)
- 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Directions:
- In a mixing bowl - combine the chopped green onions, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and vegetable oil
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger if using
- Stir in the sugar until it dissolves
- Season with salt and pepper to taste
- If you'd like it spicy, add a pinch of red pepper flakes
Serving Tips:
- Use the green onion sauce as a condiment or dressing
- Great for a dipping sauce for dumplings, spring rolls or grilled meats
- Drizzle it over steamed vegetables, rice or noodles
- Use it as a marinade for meats or tofu
